Christian Dior by John Galliano SS2002 Blush Silk Jacquard Wrap Top & Skirt Set

Sold Out

A stunning two-piece set from Christian Dior’s Spring/Summer 2002 collection under the creative direction of John Galliano. The ensemble comprises a long-sleeve wrap top and a coordinating midi skirt, both crafted in a luxurious silk jacquard with a delicate floral damask weave throughout.

The fabric features a beautiful hand-painted tie-dye effect, graduating from soft ivory-cream at the extremities to a romantic dusty blush rose at the center — a signature Galliano touch that gives each piece an almost painterly, artisanal quality.

The wrap top crosses at the front with a deep V-neckline and secures at the back with a self-fabric sash tie, forming an elegant bow at the waist. The sleeves fade ethereally from pink to white at the cuffs, enhancing the dreamy, romantic aesthetic.

The midi skirt sits at the natural waist and features a column silhouette with a gentle flare at the hem, a medium side slit for ease of movement, and a decorative row of self-covered fabric buttons running along the side seam — a refined couture detail. The skirt fastens with a small self-fabric tie at the waistband.

Size: Top FR36 and skirt FR38, has stretch!

Flat measurements:

Top: estimation waist 13.5”, bust 17”. As it’s a wrap piece it does have flexibility for waist and bust!

Skirt waist 14”

Hips: 17.5”

Condition: Very good vintage condition. The fabric retains its sheen and structure. Please note there is a minor fray to one of the button loops on the skirt’s side seam, as highlighted in the photos. This does not affect wearability and is consistent with the age of the piece.

A rare and collectible example of Galliano’s romantic vision for the house of Dior.
